Hello Stitching Friends:
I seem to have been busy this winter with my husband and I travelling to Florida and back. Along the way I stopped in to visit some lovely needlework shops and meet the owners. Now, anyone who knows me knows this can lead to all kinds of “trouble”.
Of course it did! I now am pleased to say I will have a “Trunk Show” traveling about in the United States and hopefully it will be in a shop near you. Check out the “Activities” section on my web site www.mrstwitchett.mb.ca for Shops and Times as to where it will be shown. At the same time check the listing of “Purchase Carolyn’s Designs” for the new shops offering my designs to their customers.
I have been invited to teach in more places in more locations this year so if you live in: Rochester, New York, St. John’s, Newfoundland, Moncton, NB, Creative Festival in Toronto, Kingston, Ontario or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan please join me in some fun and learning activities. Also, I am teaching at The Stitching Corner in Cochrane, Alberta in early June. Check out “Classes” for dates and times on my web site. I would love to have you in one of my classes.
April 30th and May 1st will find me in Kitchener, Ontario at the Bingeman Conference Centre with SewFest West 2010 event. I will be teaching Beginner and Intermediate Canvaswork and I am sharing a booth with Christine’s Swedish Weaving. This is a new event this year and the booths have sold wellso come and join in the fun!
I do not have any new designs at this time as I have been working on class designs. The design for Kingston is a delight Hardanger design called Summer Garden in Hardanger. A new canvaswork design called Summer Splendour is being tested in Winnipeg this May. It is a mate for Autumn Glory. In June, My Secret Garden will be released as a design – this design was the mystery in the magazine A Needle Pulling Thread during 2009. Watch the Festive Issue 2010 of ANPT for Christmas designs.
I will be attending EAC’s Seminar 2010, STITCHING OUTSIDE THE BOX being held in Regina, Saskatchewan. I do have a table at Merchant’s Madness Night Thursday May 20th starting at 7pm. Drop by and say hello.
It will probably be awhile before another update will appear as I am plenty busy leading up to mid June. There are other designs underway so you will not be disappointed in the future.
Have a great spring and I hope to see many of you in the near future at all the stitching events across the Canada :
