NEWSLETTER #1
OCTOBER 18TH, 2009

HELLO EVERYONE:

Well it has been a long time since most of you have heard from me. I hope you are all still stitching and finding it a rewarding activity. My husband and I at the moment are residing between Dauphin, Manitoba and St. Lazare, Quebec as we wait for our home to be built next spring. We do plan a winter holiday to the south probably Florida.

As most of you know I am no longer a shop owner; I am now designing and teaching. I have also been working on updating my web site: http://www.mrstwitchett.mb.ca/ at this time I would like to thank Christine for all the work she has done in the past on my web site. She took the pictures and did all the design work. Hence I have kept the orignal front page that she created for me and the basic set up. Thank you, Christine!!

On my web site I have now listed all my current designs with pictures, the designs that I teach only, where I will be teaching in the future, other activities that I am doing in needlework, shops that carry my designs, links to other sites and all my free Christmas card designs that you can download. This year's 2009 beautiful card is called NOEL! Quick and fun to do.

My new designs released in 2009 :

LOST IN THE GARDEN
LET'S GO SHOPPING BOOK I
LET'S GO SHOPPING BOOK II
GOLDEN REMINISCENCE

You are encouraged to support your local shops and if they do not carry my designs please ask them to contact me at twitchet at mts.net. I do not plan to send regular newsletters just when new items are introduced. If you do not wish to receive my newsletters please e-mail me and ask to be removed. Please do not hesitate to share my newsletter to your stitching friends.

TIP #1: Use counting pins when trying to find a centre or measuring of a design or stitch start. Counting pins can be as simple as a straight pin or needle or very elaborate and ornate. I recommend have at least 5 or 6 in your collection because you often have long areas to count and counting in shorter space reduce errors, such as counting every 10 and place a pin. Counting pins will take away the urge to use pencil or marker on your canvas or fabric. Keep your materials as clean as possible with no use of chemical additions is highly recommended if you plan to keep your pieces through the ages.

Until next time,
May all your stitches be placed with love,
Carolyn
